Ruqyah is a method of healing by reading something to people who are ill resulting from 'ain (malicious eye), animal stinging, can, sorcery, pain, crazy, possessed and jinn distractions.
Ruqyah syariyah is the correct ruqyah according to Islamic law among them by way of reciting the Qur'anic verse, as in the name of the letter Al-Fatihah is Ar-Ruqyah, seeking refuge in Allah, remembrance and prayer with the aim of curing illness.
While Ruqyah Syirkiyah is the usual practitioners of the shamans. Ruqyah among the dukun is known by the term spells or spells.

The Sharia Ruqyah has certain provisions. If it does not meet these criteria then ruqyah is not syar'i, which is similar to the spells done by the dukun.

- Does not imply that the person who is diruqyah must be in a strange condition as must be in a state of aggravation, must be in the grave, or must be in a state of illicit.
